Mickelson Wins the Pebble Beach Pro-Am

For the 5th time in his career, Phil Mickelson took home the trophy at Pebble Beach after making a late charge Sunday. It was the 44th career victory for Lefty as he finished the Sunday’s 6-under with 2 holes still to play. Paul Casey looked like he was running away with the tournament during the 3rd round, but struggled towards the end of Sunday’s round with a couple critical bogeys down the stretch.

Play was suspended as Mickelson and Casey finished the 16th hole sunday due to darkness. The darkness was a result of the weather delay earlier in the day due to hail!. Yes you read that correctly. Hail in California.

The whole weekend the historic Pebble Beach took a beating from the strong winds off the Pacific Ocean and a consistent rain. The wild weather did a number on the course and the grounds crew  certainly had their hands full.
